*Your Holy Communion can be offered for any intention of your choosing. “A Mass may be offered for the living or for the dead, and this has been the practice since the Church's first days. . . Catholics remember their beloved at the Lord's altar by offering their Masses -- their reception of Holy Communion -- for someone's specific intentions, such as thanksgiving, conversion, physical healing, to honor that person on a special day, the releasing of souls from Purgatory, etc. They do this by simple prayer before or after Mass, such as "I offer this Mass for the benefit of my sick friend." (From "Mass Intentions," by Fish Eaters)
*Our parishes will begin receiving intentions for 2023 on Monday, February 21: -A maximum of 2 Masses can be offered for an individual (in separate months). -A maximum of 12 Masses can be offered for a newly deceased soul (1/month). -A household cannot request more than 12 Masses each year.
-Per Canon Law, the Holy Mass is offered once each Sunday and Holy Day for the people of our parish. -Masses on the First Friday of each month are offered for the Sick of the Parish. -Masses on the Last Friday of each month are offered for Recently Deceased. -Masses on the First Monday of each month are offered for Birthdays within the Month.
